Strelitzia

The genus Strelitzia includes many species among which we remember: Strelitzia Reginae undoubtedly the best known of the genus although the species we present on this occasion is the Strelitzia alba or Augusta, originally from South Africa, it has the most elongated leaves and squeezes with respect to Strelitzia reginae and can reach quite a few meters in height. The flowers are white enclosed by a spathe of a beautiful dark green tending to purple. It is a majestic plant that can also reach ten meters in height. They are also reputed to be very long-lived plants and specimens of more than 100 years have been identified.
